Legacy connector that read historical data from OPC HDA servers.
- Name: OPCHDA
- Version: 1.0.0.5
- Protocol: OPC HDA (classic OPC, COM/DCOM)
- Runtime: .NET Framework 4.8 (Windows)
- Status: Legacy
Overview
The OPC HDA Client connector read raw historical samples from an OPC Historical Data Access (HDA) server, the classic OPC specification based on Microsoft COM/DCOM. It let trends and historian queries in FrameworX show history stored in that server.
The connector does not poll live values. Use it only for reading history from an existing OPC HDA server.
Legacy Status
This connector is kept in the product so that solutions already using it keep working. It is not recommended for new projects, and it receives no new features.
If you need to replace it, or you have a requirement for reading historical data from an OPC HDA server in a new project, contact Tatsoft Support at support@tatsoft.com. We will review the requirement with you and recommend the current approach.
Configuration
Node Station
Station syntax: <HDA Server>;<Domain>;<UserName>;<Password>
- <HDA Server>: OPC HDA server name (ProgID or CLSID).
- <Domain>: hostname of the remote DCOM server. Leave empty for a local server.
- <UserName> and <Password>: credentials for DCOM authentication.
Points
The point address is the OPC HDA Item ID, as shown in the server address space.
