AI, MCP and automation
- Author display configuration completely from automation — legend, connections, chart orientation, child-display links, and themes.
- Update a display’s code-behind script without altering the drawing canvas — content-only display import.
- Importing a display page from JSON preserves all content — nested groups, dialog settings, and exact layout.
- Writing a display from automation replaces its elements instead of duplicating them when the display’s editor is open.
- Reading several displays in one full-detail request returns results instead of reporting the one-at-a-time limit.
- Verify dialog content and prompts in automated Designer tests, without rendering them.
- Drive and complete suppressed Designer configuration dialogs in automated tests, without rendering them.

Local AI and AI Chat
- Local AI endpoint configuration is easier to get right — whitespace is trimmed and sensible defaults (URL, headers, secret name) are pre-seeded when a provider preset is selected.
- Updated Claude model suggestions and clearer AI endpoint Test results.
- AI Chat: the Context grounding field can no longer be pointed at the question or reply tag, which previously produced self-referential grounding.
Displays and Symbols
- Symbol size no longer reverts to default when importing a display from JSON.
- Symbol rotation no longer reverts to 0° when importing a display from JSON.
- Symbol legend is imported when importing a Display page.
- Option to hide the border of a symbol’s legend.
- Library symbols with a theme-color FillColor dynamic render correctly in the Designer editor — runtime rendering was already correct.
- Fill color is applied to the intended object when another object is clicked immediately after.
- Canceling a drawing tool mid-draw leaves no leftover connections, orphan shapes, or phantom undo entries.
- Selecting a button whose Action script method was renamed or deleted no longer silently clears its Action target.
- Editing a button’s Action settings enables the Save button in Designer.
- Display Connectors infrastructure re-enabled.
- Folder-path tag bindings compile correctly in Canvas display code-behind.
- Trend Chart: tags with Quality 64 no longer interpolate between two Quality 192 points.
HTML5 and web client
- The HTML5 web client loads significantly faster with compressed delivery and browser caching.
- TDataGrid columns no longer appear blank when FieldName casing does not exactly match the DataTable column name.
- Web Display scripts no longer fail when a referenced Script Class had not yet been built for the web.
- Display CodeBehind: the
Clipboard.SetTextobsolete warning no longer suggests a method that does not compile.
Scripts and Code Editor
- Multi-line string literals and string interpolation with Tag/Info references compile correctly in Scripts and Display CodeBehind.
- Server-domain Script Classes build correctly when a method contains a nested interpolated string.
- Calling a private or protected Script Class method from a Script Task reports CS0122 instead of the misleading CS0246.
- IntelliSense exposes every class inside a Script Namespace and no longer allows calling non-static methods without instantiation.
- IntelliSense refreshes and recognizes newly created Classes and Namespaces.
- Creating a namespace in Scripts/Classes no longer duplicates
usingdirectives and the compiler warnings they caused. - IntelliSense and the Dynamics method list keep working with tuple destructuring in a
foreachheader. - Third-party DLLs in Script References load correctly when the product bundles a same-name library.
- Find All References is enabled in the Script Class Code Editor.
- The Code Editor keeps cursor and scroll position when switching tabs or saving a script.
- Deleting a class or open document reliably closes its editor tab.
- Script Editor matches Display CodeBehind editor behavior for saved-line highlighting and
#regionstate. - Writing rows back to a configuration table from a Server script no longer fails with an internal error.
Unified Namespace, Tags and Ontology
- Importing an ontology (RDF/OWL) creates the object relationships and the asset-tree hierarchy.
- The ISA-88 ontology import template’s mapping rules are applied instead of being silently ignored.
- Exporting and re-importing a UNS graph preserves the asset hierarchy when entities carry a source IRI.
- Importing tags and displays together resolves display bindings to the new tags.
- The Asset Tree tab shows folders and tags in order after importing an existing solution’s UNS.
- Initial values for GUID tags are retained when set through the Asset Tree view or at tag creation.
- Tag rename in the asset tree works when only letter case changes.
- EngWrapper API — set a tag’s per-instance property overrides (StartValue, Min, Max, Disable, DisplayText, Description, Enumeration) on UserType member instances.
Devices and protocols
- PEER Protocol Driver — new communication driver.
- Store-and-forward (local buffering) for the Azure IoT Hub / MQTT driver.
- Modbus TCP master sends well-formed frames and reads devices correctly.
- OPC UA: UDT array member
Valueis now sent by the OPC Server. - Siemens “TIA Portal (local)” tag import no longer fails immediately with a “file not found” error.
- Siemens tag import covers PLC tag tables (Input/Output/Memory), not only Data Blocks.
- MQTT Client Connector: CPU no longer escalates on invalid broker credentials, and the device process terminates after Stop Solution.
- Device points configured for a channel are available to the runtime instead of loading as zero.
- The
@Device.Channel.<name>.Startexpression is no longer ambiguous in Designer IntelliSense and resolves correctly at runtime.
Alarms, Historian and redundancy
- Historian and Alarm redundancy replication keeps up on large projects — the standby database synchronizes fully.
- Alarm Viewer respects the custom alarm-history table name, and single alarms save correctly on SQL Server historians.
- Diagnostic tools can connect to the standby server in redundant systems.
- The standby server no longer starts the Devices module Running when a device has Initial State Reserved or Remote.
Designer, Solution Center and packaging
- Designer no longer freezes for several seconds when opening Solution Capabilities for the first time.
- Solution Center licensing calls are more resilient — connection reuse, recovery after network loss, and forward-slash path handling.
- MCP configuration inconsistencies in templates corrected, along with a truncated label in Execution Profiles.
Lifecycle and Support
Update 5d is planned as a free upgrade for every FrameworX 10.x customer, shipping with the platform’s standard within-major-version 100% compatibility commitment.
